Open to SDE & ML roles
I build AI systems that reason, retrieve, and ship.
I’m Ankush Wadehra, a computer science engineer at SRM Institute of Science and Technology working at the intersection of applied machine learning and production software. I build agentic systems, train models from scratch, and turn research ideas into deployed products.

I started out curious about how machines learn, and ended up building the systems that put that learning to work. Most of what I do sits between research and engineering: reading a paper, deciding whether the idea holds up, and then shipping something real on top of it.
Lately that means agentic AI — orchestrating language models that can plan, search, run code, and recover from their own mistakes. I care about the parts most demos skip: state management, tool routing, streaming responses, and what happens when a model is confidently wrong.
I also like building things from scratch, including a character-level transformer trained from the ground up, because implementing attention yourself teaches you things no tutorial does. Right now I’m studying at SRMIST, leading AI/ML at ACM, and always up for a good engineering problem.
01
Education
B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur. Current CGPA 10.0. Coursework spanning data structures, algorithms, operating systems, machine learning, and distributed systems.
02
Awards & achievements
Winner, Confluence Hack 1.0. Selected for the research cohort at IIT Madras Research Park. Consistent academic standing at the top of my cohort while shipping side projects in parallel.
03
Positions of responsibility
AI/ML Lead at ACM SRMIST, where I run sessions and mentor juniors through their first models. Member of Next Tech Lab's AI Saturdays. Previously part of Placfv's SRM.
04
What I'm working on now
Building Parsewave, and going deeper on agentic architectures — multi-agent coordination, long-horizon planning, and making language models reliable enough to trust with real work.
05
What I'm looking for
Software engineering and machine learning roles where I can work on hard problems with people who care about the craft. Especially interested in applied AI, backend systems, and anything involving models in production.
